Margaret contacted me in October 2023 following a fall she had earlier that year which resulted in a broken wrist and the diagnosis of osteoporosis. She had been advised by her physio to look at strength training to develop bone mass so she reached out to me.
She had no previous experience in the gym and was understandably nervous to start, everything was new and also there were concerns about more falls. Over the last 9 months of working together her confidence has built, her strength has increased and she is now exercising at least 3 times a week. During our sessions, Margaret works hard and pushes herself in between our chats and is an absolute pleasure to train.
Our biggest achievement so far has been taking her from bench squats, to supported tripod lunges to bodyweight lunges – a shining example of determination, purpose and trusting the process. At 67, Margaret is motivated by her goal to build strong bones to manage osteoporosis and continue to age gracefully! I cannot wait to see what we achieve working together over the next 9 months!

I first met Claire in summer 2022 and signed up to her total transformation program. It was a revelation and I was inspired. I have been pretty active and fit most of my life (horses, pilates, gym, golf etc) but as I get older, I find it harder and harder to balance fitness with my eating habits and found myself in a rut. I had also suffered a number of injuries which stopped me doing some of the things I loved.
Training with Claire is more than just a PT session. She works you hard and I am stronger than I have ever been. She understands the physical changes that women go through as we get older and adapts the training to ensure you get the most out of each session. She’s there for advice and support even when you’re not training and the nutritional guidance is tailored around your lifestyle, activity levels and preferences – it’s not a one-size-fits-all diet. She demystified macro-nutrients and I now understand more about what to eat and when to eat it, to maximise performance at the gym and keep you fit and healthy for day to day life.

I always cringe at the sight of my before photos. I used to hate looking in the mirror. I felt old and the mirror just made that feeling real! I have 3 young kids who would lovingly bring home all manner of bugs back from school and I caught them all! One after the other. Run down was my state constantly! But I wanted to make a change! I reached out to a friend who like me had kids and within 5 days the fog lifted! I could think again. My energy levels raised! And for the first time in a long time I actually wanted to exercise
Amazingly the weight just fell off! I went from the biggest I’d ever been at a size 14 to a size I’d also never been – a size 8! Maintaining that has been the easiest too. I’m now happy for the first time ever when I see myself naked!
Like so many people I tried so many different ways to lose weight and would always put it back on. It was at just after Christmas and I saw a photo of myself which really hurt. I was overweight and ashamed to look at myself in the mirror. I committed to a 30 day program. I continued until I had lost 10 kilos, I felt amazing, proud and I would smile when I saw myself in the mirror. I became motivated to exercise again, even entering a 10 k run. I was never into running but the feeling I got was amazing. I began to believe in myself. My focus now is being healthy and healthy ageing.
Before I was a tired, frazzled, exhausted Mom. I felt uncomfortable in my own skin. I could hardly show up for myself and my family like I really wanted to. I had just had baby number 4 when I was introduced to Isagenix. I was a skeptic, believe me! But I was willing to try anything. I thought, I’ll try this for a month and see “how good it works”. Well almost three years in and I have no intention of “stopping”. It’s a lifestyle. I love it more and more as time goes on! I lost my weight within the first 10 months just using the shakes, no cleansing until 2.5 years due to breastfeeding and I have maintained since, adding muscle as I go. I am now full of energy, I feel younger now than I did in my twenties. I FEEL amazing and that’s what it’s all about for me. I’m so grateful I gave it that first 30 day trial. Before I started my journey, I thought when you got old you gained weight, had no energy and felt constantly tired. Oh how wrong I was. I had no idea what healthy felt like. I know now that fuelling your body correctly, support and exercise are the key and that Claire was able to help a 50yr old feel 40 again
Clare was recommended to me when I was talking to a friend about how I was feeling demotivated and a bit lost around my fitness regime. I wanted to start feeling strong again, get some confidence in a gym and enjoy eating again rather than just eating whatever was round as I had lost interest in cooking! In fact just life in general! Clare was in touch with me really quickly and just put me at ease straight away! As soon as I got my plans I was excited to get going, they were challenging but fit easily into the time I have. The recipes helped me refocus on making food that I love without having to make a menu for the week myself! (Also helped as I am in the car a lot and now am motivated to make lunch!
Clare has really helped me by keeping in contact to cheer me on and find out how my training is going and now I am loving feeling comfortable in the gym, saying hello to people that I recognise and I love having the confidence to go and pick up a heavier pair of weights than I would normally as I know Clare would be (gently!) encouraging me to push myself! I look forward to the new cycles of workouts but never get bored! I am hoping to keep working with Clare for a long time to come as she is inspirational and badass and just an all round awesome human being!
I have always been into cardio-based fitness & had wanted to experiment in strength training for some time, but never had the confidence to experiment in a gym.Also I’ve always focused on low calorie in take, getting on the scales regularly and beating myself up if i blew it with both of these things.

It only works for me to get my training done first thing so now my alarm goes off at 5:30 – 5 days a week!I almost immediately fell in love with weight training. Claire is a great personal trainer and you walk away after each session feeling massively motivated and I regularly learn new exercises and now understand how each movement benefits the different muscle groups that I am training!The change in my body shape over the last couple of months is amazing and i feel i have achieved more in this time with Claire than I have in the last 10 years at the gym.
